Football B Team Match Report Clifton

We started the match well with Roman hitting the crossbar and we had most of the possession.  The half time whistle blew, we changed some of our positions and started another great half. With a lot of defending, unfortunately Clifton had a corner and deflected off Hazem and it went in.

1:0 to Clifton! After some great attempts, the final whistle blew. The final score was 1:0 to Clifton.

A Team Clifton Football Match Report

On Tuesday 13th October, Clifton played Hall Park. With a great starting team talk, we started the first half with plenty of possession and we were getting some good shots.  After just ten minutes, we were 2:0 up after a tap in by Finn and a wonder strike from Jacob.  Later on in the first half, we got down the left flank and crossed it in towards Finn who scored again.  We went in at half time with 3:0 to Hall Park.  With a few substitutions, Alfie for Finn and George for Daniel, we started very well with another great goal from Jacob we were 4:0.  We kept on going to the last five minutes where Aakash scored a great wonder goal. The match ended 5:0 to Lytham Hall Park.

At the end of the first half the score was 2:0.

We started the second half and with a bad kick from St Thomas’ keeper Euan almost scored but sadly missed. Ross tried to shoot but missed and got tackled.  St Thomas’ went on a successful run and scored.  Anya had another shot but it went wide.

That was the end of the match and we lost 3:0.  We’d like to thank the coaches for helping and supporting us,

Hall Park vs Our Lady

On Tuesday 3rd March Lytham Hall Park’s A-Team played Our Lady’s A-Team. We won the toss and decided to take Kick-off. The match started and both teams were looking like they were going to score, but thanks to some amazing goalkeeping neither team scored. Later on, Hall Park had lots of great chances but their goalkeeper kept Finn, Jacob and Billy from scoring. The half time whistle blew, the score was still 0-0. After an inspiring team talk from Mr Billington, we got back on the pitch with our heads held high. Both teams had a bright start to the second half but still no one could score. After five minutes of the second half Theo came on for Finn and we were attacking much more but we couldn’t score a goal. Five minutes later, Archie and Jacob swapped positions, Archie went up front and Jacob dropped to left back. Shortly after, Hall Park were on an attack Billy passed to Archie and Archie went through and scored! 1-0 to Hall Park. Soon after, the same pair linked up and it was Billy to Archie again and Archie scored again! 2-0 to Hall Park. Only two minutes later, Hall Park scored again, but this time it was Theo. Super sub! 3-0 to Hall Park. After that we scored again. It was Billy this time. 4-0 and full time, we would like to thank Mr Billington for great coaching and everyone who came to support us!
